CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Update: Corpus Christi Fire Department reports the cause of the blaze on Tripoli Drive near was accidental.
Investigators said the homeowner tried to burn a tree that was too close to his home, forgetting to tend to it after it was lit on fire.
The extent of the damage is unknown.

Fire fighters battled a two-alarm blaze on Tripoli Drive on the south side of town off of Weber and Holly -- near Yeager Elementary School on Tuesday morning.
Crews responded to the call at 2:27 a.m. after a fire began on the outside of the two-story house, before making its way inside of the structure.
Nine crews, two fire chiefs and two medic units were on the scene.
The building was empty by the time crews arrived.
No injuries were reported.
Fire investigators have not released the cause of the fire.
