CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas —
An undercover operation conducted by the Corpus Christi Police Department busted four retailers across the city selling alcohol to underaged individuals.
The Narcotics and Vice Investigations Division went to 21 beer and wine stores over the weekend and out of all of them four failed.
Those who helped uncover the illegal sales were under the close supervision and direction of detectives.
They were all 18 through 20 years of age.
When they got to the register to pay they would show their current ID when asked.
It was found the store clerks were not properly looking at the identification cards and sold the alcohol to the minors.
Those who sold the beverages face a charge of 'sale to minors'.
