CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — An aggravated assault call led police to a Pizza Hut on Ayers and Baldwin where they were able to safely make an arrest of one juvenile and an adult male.
Corpus Christi police arrived just after 4 p.m. to Monterey Street near Santa Fe.
That is where they were told a suspect was pointing an AR-15 and other guns at someone.
Police got a description of the suspect's vehicle that they later found at Pizza Hut, prompting a heavy police presence.
"The incident has nothing to do with the Pizza Hut it's just where they happened to go when they left the location where it originally happened,” Corpus Christi Police Department Lt. Edward Longoria said. “It's just coincidental that they ended up here."
Police believe the vehicle involved is connected to shootings throughout the city.
They did find guns in the vehicle and were able to confiscate them.
One juvenile and an adult male were taken in on aggravated assault and other charges.
