CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Corpus Christi Police Department is warning the community about another phone scam going around.
This one involves the scammer calling from the CCPD emergency number -- which is 361-886-2600 -- and saying the victim has active warrants.
CCPD will never contact you by phone regarding warrants.
If you receive this scam call -- the police department urges you to hang up -- and never provide any personal information.
