CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi Mayor Paulette Guajardo and council approved the first of a two-reading ordinance that would sell the former Lamar Elementary School site to the nonprofit housing developer TG 110.
Approval for the second reading of the proposal will take place during the meeting on Dec. 12.
The nonprofit’s mission is to provide affordable housing units for seniors and design a workshop for neighborhood residents by January next year.
There will be more details released about this plan if council approves the request.
