CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Coastal Bend Blood Center is holding its H-E-B Summer Blood Drive for the third year at various H-E-B stores throughout the Coastal Bend.
Tuesday, Bloodmobiles will be at the H-E-B on Kostoryz in Corpus Christi, the H-E-B Plus in Flour Bluff and the H-E-B in Rockport. Every blood drive will be held from 2-5 p.m.
Wednesday, they will be in Annaville, Kingsville and Portland and Thursday, they will be at the H-E-B on Alameda at Glazebrook, as well as the ones in Alice, Ingleside and the H-E-B on Weber in Corpus Christi.
The drive wraps up Friday in Beeville, and at the H-E-B in Moore Plaza.
The blood center runs low on Type O blood donations during the summer months, prompting the drives, and according to its web site, it currently is facing a critical shortage of A- blood.
