CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Just before 9 a.m. Thursday DPS responded to a tractor that rolled after it was hit by a car at FM 665 and FM 666.
According to DPS officials, the driver of a newer model Subaru was apparently using cruise control and didn't notice that a truck in front of him had passed the John Deere tractor.
That's when his car crashed into the back of the tractor.
Sergeant Rob Mallory says the driver was speeding when the accident happened and was given a citation.
Both people involved in the wreck are said to be okay.
