CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A homeowner shot and killed a man he said broke into his home early Sunday.
The call was made to 911 at about 7:51 a.m. asking for officers to respond to the 7000 block of Brandon Drive, near Yorktown Boulevard and Staples Street.
Corpus Christi Police Department officers stated in a news release that the homeowner said he shot an intruder who had broken in, and when officers arrived, they found a deceased man inside the home.
Investigators with the Robbery Homicide Division are investigating the shooting.
It is unclear whether the homeowner will face charges at this time.
