CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Thursday was a big day for the little book worms over at Ella Barnes Elementary School as they finally got a chance to see their new, 'out-of-this-world' library!
The space-themed renovation is sure to help inspire students to reach for the 'Stars!'
The school's librarian, Mary Lou Stout told 3NEWS the makeover was a long time coming and had lots of buzz leading up to the big reveal.
"Every day the students and staff would be like, 'Mrs. Stout is the library going to be open today? Is the library going to be open today,' " she said. "Finally we can say, 'Yes the library is going to be open today.' "
Stout added that the school also received a $10,000 grant to fill the space with brand new books!
