'The Pink Connection'| Providing emergency funds for breast cancer patients

The new Coastal Bend nonprofit provides resources to cover travel costs for those seeking treatment for breast cancer.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Pink Connection is the Coastal Bend's newest nonprofit focusing on helping those impacted by breast cancer.

Founders Daniela Rivera and Claudia Mostaghasi said they wanted to address a need they saw in the community-- especially among those who have to travel for treatments associated with a breast cancer diagnosis.

The two sisters say resources from their emergency fund can be used for gas money, hotel stays, and as a stop gap to help you catch up on your bills if you have to miss work.

"Sometimes you just don't have the savings," said Mostaghasi. "That's where we come in."

The Pink Connection is set to host a golf tournament in the beginning of next year.

You can keep up with them and learn more on their Facebook page or contact them at +1 361-774-0002 and Thepinkconnection361@gmail.com.
