CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Park rangers at Lake Corpus Christi are embracing the Summer tourist season and gearing up for the hundreds of visitors expected to hit the lake for the Fourth of July holiday.
Visitors can do anything from fishing to paddling, barbequing and even camping.
Park rangers have issued a word of caution for those looking to join in on the fun, as recent rains from tropical storm Alberto have increased lake levels by about four inches.
Park Superintendent Kelly Ann Malkowski reminded people to stay safe while out on the water.
"We encourage a lot of caution if you are boating and jet-skiing on the water, those obstacles are still there, they are just slightly deeper than they were a week ago," Malkowski said.
Park rangers also noted that you cannot light fireworks at Lake Corpus Christi.
