CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — If you live in the Coastal Bend, you were likely busy preparing for Hurricane Beryl back in early July. For one family of dog breeders, that weekend was also marked by the upcoming birth of a litter of Golden Retriever puppies who will soon be available for those who want to welcome a new member into their family.
And there is a special 3NEWS shoutout we're excited to announce!
The folks over at the Coastal Rose Kennel told us they named the litter in honor of that weekend's weather and (*drumroll please*) our very own Chief Meteorologist Alan Holt.
That's right. Now six weeks old, the happy, healthy pups are ready to find their new homes- and you can be a part of that on Saturday.
"We named them for the weather even though the storm passed us! Puppy picking is this Saturday, so we’ll see who picks Alan Holt then!"
The family says that little Alan Holt is apparently a super fun and energetic pup-- no surprise there!
