CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Pet lovers from all around got to see a lot of tails wagging, as the Gulf Coast Humane Society held their 15th annual Pawfest on Saturday.
This event is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the nonprofit.
Pawfest is crucial to the shelter because it's an event where they collect donations that are used to help the community with their pets, all while getting as many animals adopted as possible.
"It's a well-loved event, you know, a lot of people out here that I've talked to have been coming to Pawfest for a really long time and like I said before we just try to grow every single year and add more so that it can be more fun," said Director of Marketing and Development for the humane society Jackie McCollough said.
The first ever Pawfest Encore was added this year, it's a special concert that will be held at Brewster Street Icehouse downtown on Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m.
