CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — One family got to spend their holidays in a new home in Ingleside, thanks to the folks at Habitat for Humanity.
The Thomas family received the keys to their new abode earlier this morning during a special ceremony.
The home is part of Habitat for Humanity's home ownership program, where participants go through financial education to learn how to manage a mortgage and a home.
“Today's fantastic. Yea, it’s a huge blessing, I can’t describe the feeling of this. Everybody came together,” new homeowners Jessie and Brian Thomas. “Everybody helped us get a home for our babies. So, we don’t have to worry about moving anymore.”
The new home also came complete with a new playhouse for the family's six children to enjoy.
