CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Hamlin Middle School saluted local veterans on Monday, taking time to recognize teachers, coaches, former students and other community members who have served the country.
Principal Bridget Lamoureux told 3NEWS just how special it is for the middle schoolers to be involved in recognizing so many special people.
"I think it's very special for them," she said. "A lot of our veterans that are here right now are here with their families, our students. Their grandparents, their aunts and uncles that are here. So just that we're honoring some of their family in a different light is very important for them."
