CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi Public Libraries is working to expand La Retama Central Library with a sensory room for children with special needs by March 2024.
In addition to the $75,000 grant the public library received in November, $5,000 donated from Driscoll Health Plan and $6,000 from the Pin Oak Group will help furnish the room with resources.
The sensory room will be open for children up to 14 years old.
This would be the first free public space of its kind in the Costal Bend.
