CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas —

Port Aransas is advising residents with high-profile vehicles (RVs, boats, and trailers) and with special medical needs to consider voluntarily evacuating the city no later than Saturday evening in order to avoid Sunday traffic.
6:41 p.m.
Aransas County Office of Emergency Management advises all residents and visitors to evacuate the county as soon as possible ahead of the hurricane. Aransas County residents can sign up for CODE RED alerts by texting ARANSAS to 99411.
3:04 p.m.
Texas Department of Transportation crews were on Business 35 in Rockport on Friday doing erosion control.
1:57 p.m.
Padre Island National Seashore announced North Beach, South Beach, and Yarborough Pass are closed to vehicle traffic immediately.
Malaquite Campground and Bird Island Basin Campground will be closed starting at noon Saturday, and the Malaquite Visitor Center will be open from 9 a.m.-noon.
A full park closure will be in place starting at noon Sunday.
