CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A male motorcyclist was found dead after hitting a concrete barrier on State Highway 286 early Saturday morning, according to Corpus Christi Police Department officials.
Police responded to a motorcycle accident on the 5400 block of Crosstown Expressway at 1:41 a.m.
The motorcyclist has not been identified at this time.
When officers arrived the driver of that motorcycle was found dead on the southbound side of the roadway.
Further investigation revealed that the man was traveling northbound and failed to stay in a single lane, hitting the inside of a concrete barrier. He was ejected over the barrier and landed on the southbound side.
Officers said he was not wearing a helmet.
The accident caused multiple lane closures and traffic was diverted while officers clear the scene in the early morning hours Saturday.
