CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Nueces County Medical Examiner's Office has identified Joshua Romanczyk as the man who died in a single-vehicle accident over the weekend.
The 45-year-old man crashed near the Corpus Christi International Airport over the weekend, per the Corpus Christi Police Department.
Authorities said they found Romanczyk trapped in his vehicle when a GPS device activated to alert them of a possible crash in the 8000 block of Agnes Street early Saturday around 2:12 a.m.
Medics worked to extricate the man from before transporting him to a local hospital where he eventually died from his injuries.
Investigators with the Traffic Unit arrived on scene to investigate the crash.
CCPD said they determined man was driving north on Agnes Street in his grey pickup truck when he left the roadway for an unknown reason before flipping into a grassy area and coming to a rest on its side.
