CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The City of Mathis named Lt. Guillermo Figueroa as the new interim police chief Friday, following the recent dismissal of former chief Scott Roush.
Roush was let go last week after allegations of missing drugs from the police department's evidence locker. He was accused of taking those missing drugs.
City Manager of Mathis Cedric Davis told 3NEWS the department is in the process of cleaning up that evidence locker.
