CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Around this time every year, Mission 911 hosts a multi-weeklong financial advisory class in order to help residents get ahead.
The class teaches those who attend about the need to save and plan ahead, and even dives into deeper subjects such as economic classifications and what poverty can really look like.
"What we do is try and look at them and then what can we do, and how can we assist so that others can see and move up into a different economic class," said Mission 911 case management director Donna LaMontagne.
