H. Boyd Hall Chapter of NAACP responds to police shooting of Corpus Christi Black teenager

President Jeremy Coleman stated in a news release that he had been in touch with CCPD chief Michael Markle immediately following the shooting.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — NAACP president Jeremy Coleman has released the following statement to 3NEWS, regarding the aftermath of the officer-involved shooting.

"We understand that there has been another shooting of a black man by CCPD. We have been in touch with the Chief and have requested a thorough and independent investigation to ensure the truth of what happened is ultimately discovered," said Coleman in a press release.

The NAACP also reiterated that they will continue to monitor the events closely as the matter continues to unfold.
