CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Coastal Bend Pride Center is the only LGBTQ resource center south of San Antonio.
Robert Kymes is the Center's director. He and his team work with a large number of people in the community who are able to access the facility's information and resources whether they are allies or members of the LGBTQ community themselves.
Kymes also talked with us about how movements like 'Gay Pride Day' and the Stonewall riots developed into today's Pride Month and the many of the celebrations that the Coastal Bend Pride Center has scheduled for the month of June.
If you'd like to know more about the history of Pride celebrations, you can visit the Center and check out the displays there.
You can also check out the full month of events here.
