CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — On Thursday the City of Portland held their annual State of the City address at the Portland Community Center.
It offered insights into the city's progress and even a look at future plans.
Portland Mayor Cathy Skurow addressed the crowd under the theme, "Navigating the Waves of Progress: A Connected Approach to a Resilient Community."
"The theme today talks about the interconnectedness we have within our region and how collaboration and working together as a region will propel us into very positive actions and in a very positive regional output," Skurow said.
Both the mayor and members of the Portland Chamber of Commerce said it's exciting to be a part of the tremendous growth being seen in the city.
