CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — More than 200 AEP-Texas customers were without power Thursday night after a minor equipment failure on a line, Omar Lopez with AEP told 3NEWS.
The estimated restoration time was 8 p.m., according to the company's interactive power outage map.
Rain pounded Corpus Christi on Thursday morning and didn't let up until noon, with The Island being one of the most affected parts of town.
However, it's unclear whether the rain played a part in the service interruption.
