CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Lace up your tennis shoes and get your pickleball paddles! The Purple Door is inviting you to their first ever Purple Pickleball Tournament.
The event is happening this Saturday Oct. 12 at 8:30 A.M. Whether you're a beginner or a pro, the tournament has social and competitive play for everyone to enjoy. Competitive brackets will be for doubles teams only. Each bracket your register to play in will be $30 each.
All proceeds from the event go towards furthering The Purple Door's mission of helping victims and survivors of domestic violence.
Not much of a pickleball player? No worries! The Purple Door still invites spectators to enjoy the live DJ, food trucks and drinks on site for those 21 and over.
There are currently over 120 players registered to play on Saturday, but there's still room for more. If you'd like to sign up to play, click here.
The non-profit is still looking for volunteers to help run the event. If you'd like to help, click here.
