CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Sunday marks one year since 15-year-old Eriya Ruiz was stabbed by her boyfriend a year ago on Pennine Way on the Southside.
A vigil was held at the Bill Whit Park to extend a hand to help in the family's time of tragedy.
The vigil also provided an opportunity for the community to show their support.
