CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — On Thursday night, things got groovy in Downtown Corpus Christi as the Ronald McDonald House Charities South Texas transported guests back in time to the 70s for their inaugural House Party Fundraiser!
Funds raised will go towards supporting the families who utilize the housing resource as their children are treated at the hospital.
The 70's theme was quite fitting as the charity was founded back in 1974.
CEO Michelle Horine spoke with 3NEWS about the important work happening at the each day at the charity made possible through community support.
"So every single day is a very special day because we are able to take one less worry away from that family so they can focus on the well being of their child and healing of their children as they go through this process," she said.
Horine also thanking the McDonald's owner operators right here in the Coastal Bend with a reminder that they are local and they, along with the customers, support the House through various ways year-round.
