CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The summer months are a critical time for blood donations as the Coastal Bend Blood Center sees a major decline during the season.
The annual 'Rock and Roll Up Your Sleeve' summer blood drive invites the community to help the bank stock up rom 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Cavender's Boot City .
Community relations and education coordinator Ashley Ramirez said just one donation can save three to five lives!
"We just want to remind everybody, let's not wait until we're in critical need," Ramirez said. "Let's not wait until we have these mass tragedies or these refinery explosions, etc. Let's do our part and when we can donate, let's donate blood."
If being a life saver isn't incentive enough everyone who donates will be entered to win all kinds of prizes including concert tickets, a PlayStation 5 and a one year Texas State Aquarium membership for two!
