CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The holiday season is finally upon us, and that means the return of a very familiar face! That's right, Santa made his way south and parked his sleigh out at La Palmera.
The mall kicked off the holiday shopping season this evening with the arrival of the big man himself.
And they went all out for the welcome party, which looked more like a marching band! 3NEWS' Madeline Salinas was live at La Palmera to capture the sound of every 'rooty toot toot' and 'rummy tum tum,' while cheerleaders ruffled their pom poms for the return of St. Nick!
Shoppers lined up near the main entrance where those festivities kicked off to put in some early requests with the man in red.
That's where we caught up with a kid who we have a feeling has secured a spot on the nice list!
La Palmera shopper and local six-year-old Roman Galvan said he is hoping Santa's elves have a special X-Box waiting to be delivered just for him.
When asked how long Roman had been wanting said X-Box, he answered simply, "for nine years."
We at KIII-TV hope Santa brings him the gift he has been wishing for since even before he was born!
