CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — It's still spooky season, but it's never too early to raise spirits of another kind.
The Coastal Bend Food Bank's 37th Share Your Christmas food drive is underway and schools can still get in on the giving!
Sign-ups for the food drive are open to all Coastal Bend schools.
For extra fun, the top-earning large, small, and rural schools will each win an $800 prize!
And all food and funds stay in the communities they were raised in.
"Last year, they provided over 75,000 meals to families in the Coastal Bend, so that's a big impact in our community. Ensuring that these families had holiday meals at their table to continue on. So, they make a big difference," said Micaela Calderon-Stewart, Communications Coordinator of the Coastal Bend Food Bank.
The deadline for sign-ups is November 15.
The food drive ends December 6 and final tabs will be announced here on 3NEWS on December 13.
