CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A new hot spot in the heart of downtown Port Aransas is bringing families together to "sip" back and enjoy quality food and entertainment.
The 'Sip Yard', a three-story music venue, located at 123 West Cotter Avenue has finally received approval from the City to open the ground floor to serve food and cold drinks.
Construction has been ongoing since April of last year.
Co-owner Daniel Johnson shared a few words about the grand opening.
"It's been great ... you know, it's a great feeling to actually have the doors open and to see everyone here having such a good time. All the smiles you know, all the good food, it's just been an awesome experience," Johnson said. "I'm glad we are coming to the point to where we are open and we're not under construction anymore and so just happy days from here on out."
