CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — On Saturday, The Skateboard Foundation will be giving away 100 skateboards outside of the Whataburger by the Bay located at 121 North Shoreline Boulevard.
The giveaway will start at 2 p.m. until boards last.
Director of the foundation, Jacob Bocanegra told 3NEWS it's not just the deck, you get the whole set up, including pads and helmets!
"It's important to take care of the youth," he said. "There's a lot of things going on in the world. A lot of stuff here and there, and we're trying to decipher all the way from the deception and get away from all the negativity and just give kids a skateboard. Instead of waiting for Santa Claus, we are gonna give it to you this weekend."
Bocanegra hopes those who receive a skateboard will head out and enjoy the weekend on their new wheels.
