CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi Fire Department crews were able to put out a fire at American Auto Body located in the Dillons Industrial Village, a series of building suites rented out by businesses, on South Port Avenue Wednesday night.
According to CCPD Lt. Javier Cantu, shortly before 10 p.m. the department received reports of smoke coming out of the body shop.
Cantu said when officers arrived, flames were visible and the call was then upgraded to CCFD.
He added that it appears that two suites were damaged in the fire, and that both are believed to belong to American Auto Body.
At this time, it is not known if anyone was inside the body shop when the fire started. No injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
