CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Spectrum crews are still at work Thursday morning after an accident involving an 18-wheeler and a pickup truck hauling a boat brought power lines down to the ground Wednesday afternoon.
The incident happened in the 1200 block of Waldron Road when an 18-wheeler snagged overhead wires on private property, causing the wires to hang low.
The pickup, which was pulling a boat, then hit the low wires bringing them to the ground in the main roadway.
The roadway was shut down for approximately 40-50 minutes before AEP and other cable companies worked to clear the roadway of the wires.
CCPD said that no citations were issued.
