CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Looking for a camp for your student this summer break?
The Antonio E. Garcia Arts & Education Center announced Wednesday that there are just a few spots left for area students to register for the Teens Building for Tomorrow Camp starting next week. Spots are open to students enrolled in grades 6-12. You can also choose to sign up for another session.
The camp will provide your teen with amazing adventures in leadership, citizenship, arts, and entrepreneurship planned around the city under the guidance of Mayra Zamora and Monica Marie Garcia, two accomplished local artists.
Details and registration here: https://www.tamucc.edu/.../garcia.../programs/camp-teens.php
In this camp, students will be able to gain skills, empowerment, and citizenship through experiences such as STEM activities, yoga, art lessons in various media, volunteerism, and field trips throughout the community.
Community partners provide presentations and opportunities to learn about careers, continuing/higher education paths, and life interests. The camp is facilitated by Zamora and Garcia and is limited to 15 participants.
