CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Roadwork projects are taking place around Corpus Christi this week.
Starting Monday, the city is set to temporarily close North Shoreline Boulevard just north of Bridgeport Avenue on North Beach to do some maintenance on a stormwater manhole in the roadway.
Visitors in the area will see a hose across the beach during working hours.
The official closure will prohibit pedestrian traffic from crossing the hose during working hours.
Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes to avoid delays.
Work is expected to be complete May 10.
On the other side of town as part of the I-37 Nueces River Bridge reconstruction project, TxDOT will close various lanes and a direct connector to allow crews to continue safely setting beams at southbound US 77 and I-37 starting next week.
Motorists can expect delays during the closure and are encouraged to plan ahead and seek alternate routes.
