Looking for something to do for the Fourth of July? We've got you covered!

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — As we look ahead to the Fourth of July what better way to celebrate than with the Corpus Christi Mayor's 47th annual Big Bang Celebration and Fireworks Show!

The day offers of much to do with a patriotic ceremony at Sherrill Veterans Memorial Park, a fajita barbecue cookoff, fireworks and more!

Mayor Paulette Guajardo said the patriotic ceremony will serve as a reminder as to why we celebrate.

"This ceremony is truly the, it's a big reminder and the reason, the reason we are celebrating," Guajardo said. "The fireworks are great, they're exciting, they're fun for the family, but the ceremony at 10 a.m. is the true reason why we gather for this important day in our history."

The fireworks show will take place along the Bayfront at 9:30 that night.
