CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Crews worked to put out a fire on the highway Thursday morning just before 8 a.m. The tower cam appeared to show traffic along SPID near Airline and Staples was moved down to one lane only for a time before both lanes on a portion of the highway began diverting vehicles.
CCPD assisted in traffic control after CCFD extinguished the fire.
The police department said the fire was caused by mechanical issues, and that no injuries were reported.
