CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — On Monday, CCPD detectives obtained warrants of arrest for Rodolfo Silvas and Xavier Reyna in connection with the murder of a 22-year-old last week.
3NEWS obtained documents Friday detailing new accounts of what happened in the shooting death of a 22-year-old man July 18.
An affidavit for the arrests states the victim, who was identified as Patrick Cantu, was shot in the face after a disturbance with two of his neighbors.
The incident took place just before 8:30 p.m. on the 3800 block of Brandywine Court.
The affidavit includes a statement from a witness who told officers she knew the victim. At one point, she said the neighbors arguing with Cantu produced a handgun.
Bonds have been set for the men totaling at a combined $1.5 million for the murder.
Police said this is still an active investigation and encourage anyone with information to call the Corpus Christi Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (361) 886-2840.
Anyone who would like to keep their identity secret and still provide information to detectives should call Crime Stoppers at 888-TIPS (8477) or submit the tip online
