CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The city hosted a Veterans Day ceremony at Oveal Williams Senior Center Saturday afternoon to do just that.
3News caught up with director and founder of the Veterans Band, Ram Chavez, who said they are not just there to entertain- their top priority is to honor veterans.
"When we call them up, they all stand up straight they march forward they shake hands and they're proud to once again stand together as Army veterans, Marine veterans, Navy veterans, Air Force, Coast Guard," said Chavez.
The event was relocated due to weather concerns, but Chavez said the rain would not stop their performance.
"It's awesome just to see them walk up there because you can see it in their face. Anywhere you go, you see veterans with that pride and that's what it's about."
