CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is set to kick off Saturday, Nov. 9 at Heritage Park in downtown Corpus Christi.
Marissa Ford, the walk coordinator for the event, said this is the largest fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association. The walk will connect those who have or are caring for someone with the illness to our community.
Nearly 12% of adults over the age of 65 have the illness and more than 1 million Texans are caregivers for someone with the illness, according to data from the Alzheimer’s Association.
The event will begin at 10 a.m., but you can get there as early as 9 a.m.
