CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Editor's note: This story has been corrected to show that an independent contractor hit the water line that caused the main break.
Repairs to the water line that was hit by a private contractor in the Commodores Bridge area of North Padre Island Tuesday have been complete as of Tuesday evening, according to an update from Corpus Christi Water.
City officials said crews will flush the line and collect samples over the next week to ensure water quality is maintained.
Some residents on The Island experienced low water pressure because of the incident, but no residents were completely without water.
According to CCW officials, the independent contractors admitted to the mistake and are taking full responsibility of the costs to repair.
