CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — On Friday morning, Windsor Park 3rd graders held a townhall debate in City Council chambers!
The topic being whether the city should dedicate more land to become community gardens.
One of the students running for office tells 3NEWS why he advocated for having more gardens.
"I think we should so people can make new friends," said Tajudeen Kamara.
Well, isn't that a good reason to start heading out to a garden!
These young politicians were very excited to be able to experience the big debate.
And even more thrilled when their fellow classmates passed the bill to dedicate more land to become community gardens.
