Through the investigation officers determined that the suspect left the roadway, drove through a fence and eventually came to a stop inside an apartment.
Fortunately, the apartment was unoccupied at the time of the crash. The damage to its balcony, however, is extensive.
The driver of the vehicle was a 26-year old male, and he has been transported to the hospital to receive treatment for injuries sustained in the crash. He will be facing charges of DWI upon his release.
