CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The severe thunderstorms that moved through the area overnight Wednesday morning left behind downed trees and fences, not to mention it left some in the Mathis areas without power hours later.
Numerous outages were reported around the Lakeside, Lake City, Edgewater-Paisano and Lakeshore Gardens-Hidden Acres areas, as well as Mathis proper.
The estimated restoration time for these outages, according to the AEP-Texas map is 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Outages also were reported around Corpus Christi, Odem, Sinton, Aransas Pass, Rockport, Beeville and Holiday Beach.
The storms also left damage throughout the area, with downed trees in front our our own 3NEWS studios.
Viewers also submitted photos of playground equipment and apartment siding being blown down in Rockport, and in the Calallen area, respectively.
