CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — WEDNESDAY NIGHT: A weak cold front moves through the Coastal Bend tonight. It won't be too noticeable other than a few clouds, a stray shower, and the winds gusting a little stronger out of the north.
Temperatures tomorrow morning behind the front fall into the mid- to upper 50s for most folks.
THURSDAY: Tomorrow will be absolutely gorgeous! Highs top out in the lower 80s under sunny skies. It won't be humid either, thanks to the front.
MARINE FORECAST: On the water, expect slightly choppy conditions with 2-4 ft waves. A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect until 12am Friday. We could see minor coastal flooding, especially at times of high tide. The next full moon is Friday.
LOOKING AHEAD: Morning temperatures will be even cooler Friday morning. Inland locations will observe upper 40s as clear skies and dry, calm conditions persist.
By the start of next week, high pressure will have set up to our east. This will return our winds to an onshore direction, setting us up for higher humidity levels and warmer mornings.
Winds will pick up heading into the end of the weekend as well, due to stronger low pressure systems tracking across the northern US. One of these will drop another cold front into the Coastal Bend sometime by midweek. This looks to be the coolest air we've seen so far this Fall.
The Climate Prediction Center's temperature outlooks continue to show this "cooler-than-normal" trend. This means our temperatures will be below what they typically should be this time of year. It doesn't say how cold we'll get.
TROPICS: Potential Tropical Cyclone Nineteen has formed in the Caribbean. Check out the latest forecast on our tropical post.
