CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Trial began Wednesday morning for the murder of Isaac Garcia, the 19-year-old who was shot and killed outside of the Mission Plaza Shopping Center in February 2023.
The two men accused of killing the teen, Devin Peña and Benjamin Peña, appeared in Judge Bobby Galvan's court room for opening statements.
Prosecutors say Devin Peña shot Garcia and left him for dead at the shopping center on Ayers.
Benjamin Peña is also accused in this killing.
The trial expected to last the rest of the week.
