Agape Ranch builds beds for children in need

During the event, there are 13 stations with a station leader and instructions to follow.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas —

It was a big day for Agape Ranch as they got started bright and early in Kingsville on their first of four ‘Bed Build’ events.

Agape Ranch works to provide care and guidance to foster children and families in South Texas and that mission continued at Epiphany Episcopal Church.

Volunteers got to work and built 10 twin beds that will be used by vulnerable children in our area who may not have their own.

The 'Bed Build' event made and distributed 45 beds last year.

Program Coordinator, Rose Ruiz said the event created an amazing atmosphere for all in attendance.

“We see volunteers from different organizations, different churches and it’s just amazing to see how so many different walks of life can come together to really serve the community,” Ruiz said.

During the event, there are 13 stations with a station leader at each and instructions to follow. Putting the beds together requires an assembly line with no prior experience necessary.

Visit the Agape Ranch website to learn more about upcoming community events and fundraisers.
