CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Over 80 Alice High School students were issued citations for "minor in possession" after alcohol was served and distributed to the minors at a house party over the weekend.
3NEWS has learned that one adult was arrested for purchasing alcohol for the minors.
In the letter sent home Wednesday, Athletic Director Joe Castellano told parents and students they have until 4 p.m. Thursday to self report whether they used or possessed alcohol that night, and if they were issued a citation or not.
The letter also states that the students' consequences will be based on whether the they come forward.
For example, if a student self reports they will be given 14-day suspension, and a drug and alcohol counseling session.
If a student fails to self report and is seen in video or photos consuming alcohol that night, their punishment will be more severe, including removal from the team and missing a critical district or playoff game.
